I really don't think you care what number contest this is for me, or any of that stuff, so let's get on with it.
Choices:
1)Nature- I want you to write about the beauty of sitting outside with nothing around you but nature...It can be about the peace of a summer day, the harshness of a cold winter wind, or even the violence of a storm, whatever floats your boat.
2)Write a poem about abuse. It could be verbal, physical, sexual, spousal..etc. Make me cry.
3)Write a poem using one of the following lines:
a. "The scent of ozone and liquor hang in the wind, a precursor to your demise"
b. "Feathers fall from your shattered wings, memories of lost innocence"
c. "Do you practice that look in the mirror, that one of feigned innocence and hope"
d. "Here I am, drowning in heavy perfume and cheap cosmetics"
e. "Say the words like you mean it, and in the end, maybe you'll believe them too"
Bonus: you get bonus points if you write a poem for one of those categories using a title from one of the songs on The Phantom Of The Opera movie soundtrack.
Rules:
1)Only one entry per person.
2)No StIcKy CaPs or chat lingo!
3)No Haiku's..I can't stand them.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 25, 2005
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: Well, it took me a while to get this up because I just broke my finger...so if I make a few typing error, bear with me please...
This was my most productive contest as of yet, and I was extremely pleased with the number of entries I recieved and the quality of the nature poems that I recieved. It was a difficult decision, and I have read all of the poems at least once and I have decided to give three honorable mentions(who will recieve 25 points each) in addition to the gold, silver, and bronze trophies..
