Many Sides of Love

Hi everyone.  My last contest got very few entries, and I ended up shutting it down.  Quite frankly, I don't want that to happen again..so don't let it.  Anyway, I figured I'd do one of those widely-touched topics: LOVE.  I think I hear every poet in the world collectively saying, "Yay..an easy one!  I have 76959459845 prewrites ready!"  lol  Just kidding.  So yeah..only one choice, but here are the expectations for that choice. . .

EXPECTATIONS:
1. No sad love poetry..only happy stuff.
2. Be intelligent!  If I see something like, "Your love is all I ever needed, baby" I'm going to be really pissed.
3. Make it original, please!  Be as non-redundant as you possibly can.
4. Make me feel, think, and live the story the poem tells.  Make it..relatable.

RULES:
1. Prewrites are allowed, but ONLY ONE POEM PER PERSON!  YOU CANNOT ENTER MORE THAN ONE, PEOPLE!
2. No sticky caps or ebonics.  And use the spellchecker for God's sake.
3. Keep profanity to an absolute minimum.

NOTES:
Have fun with this, and please put forth actual effort.  Thanks in advance for submitting..I look forward to reading your work.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 18, 2005
  • Rewards: Gold: 300
  • Final notes:
This contest was easier to pick winners for than my first one, to be perfectly honest. I chose the winning pieces based on either how well they invoked emotion in me or how well they drove my imagination. I'm very happy with all my choices. I hope you had fun with the contest, and I strongly encourage you to keep submitting your work to AP contests! Have a great day and God bless.

    Love in Christ,
    Cheri E.

my favorite topic of all is love, a lot of people say that it seems like that is all I write about, however I most of times do it with a melancholic touch but I think I can do this without being too melancholic and just being happy, anyways I will try to come back with an entry, still I wish you the best in contest…
