Easy contest

Ok, I've got a few options for this one.

1. Write me a poem about how you found Jesus, or a time when you stumbled and he caught you. This applies to Christians only - it's all I'm interested in for this option. Why? Because I said so.

2. Write me something from the view of a Bipolar. Let me into your mind, let me see how you feel. If you aren't Bipolar do research, this option I WILL be picky with.

3. Write me something romantic, but don't make it corny. And if you make it towards me, you'll get brownie points. I don't want erotica though! (That's a first, eh?)

4. Write me a very visual poem - one that will take me to another world (fantasy or reality). I'd like to keep this on the optimistic side.

Really it's a pretty broad contest. I'd like to keep the poems upbeat, unless you're writing about Bipolar - but I don't want any whiney stuff.

*RULES*
1. USE SPELL CHECK, I will DQ you for this one.
2. Don't use chat lingo, it aggravates me
3. Don't use sticky caps
4. Don't piss me off
5. Have fun with it
6. Comment on one of my poems - I mean, REALLY comment. I don't want any of that half done crap. Write which one you commented on in your authors comments too - just so I know you're not pulling a quick one
7. Only one prewrite per person
8. You can enter as many NEW poems as you like

REWARDS! (depends on how many points I have to distribute)
1st place: 300+ points
2nd place: 150+ points
3rd place: 75+ points
I'd also like to give honorable mentions points if I have any left

Just IM me if you have any questions

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on June 21, 2005
  • Rewards: Gold: 300
  • Final notes:
Ok, so here are the people I DQ'd for not following rules. I almost had to DQ 1/2 the people in the contest, but I eased up on one rule a bit and these were the fellows left:
    Horus
    DreamyGenie01
    Fimbrethil
    ecol528
    Starlight Memories
    Digital Heretic
    Edna Sweetlove

And honestly there were a few people in that DQ list that might have gotten a place if they'd just followed the rules. *sighs*

There were tons of honorable mentions - so I won't tell them all, but I think you guys did a great job in this contest - for the first time I got a BUNCHA good entries!!

I entered something for option 4 visuality and bringing you to 'another world'
I love this idea for a contest... you really have very different options, so that in fact practically everyone could enter

I wish you the best of luck with the judging!

    Enjoyable Contest

I'm unable to place this in my author box, so I'll place it here, but I just fiinished reading your poem Inside. I enjoyed it immensely. Also, I chose the option of number 4. I hope you enjoy the read but I also want to wish you the best of luck with this contest. Good luck and God bless...

LOL well thanks for the comment on my entry "Ambivalent". I really do appreciate fair and thorough judging!
Sorry you had to disqualify people but maybe they don't know how to edit their author's comments, or simply forgot. Ah well, at least you told them why (and eased up on one, that's very nice of you!)
    Congratulations to the winners!

I only DQ'd people who didn't comment at all
I went through all my recent comments and made sure I didn't include anyone who'd commented on a poem of mine (like the rules said) in the DQ list
