Hi everyone my name is: stormigrl,

                  **Write About A Band Contest**

** Must fall in the criteria of: Love, Dark, Contemporary or Personal**
       This is my first contest and its for 300 points!

So get out your writing utensils and your mind power and write a poem about a Bands or its lyrics that inspire or intrigue you. Please keep within the Guidelines. Thanks. Good Luck to all!

P.S. In Author's Notes: Tell me who the Band is and the Song you are referring too. Thanks!

    I want to thank all participants in this "Write a Band Contest" I had a hard time trying to figure out who should win, so I split it up Hope everyone is happy with the decisions. Honorable mentions goes out to: Annalise, Aedara-Wren, BrokenAngel1411, and all winners. Congratulations!! This was a really tough call. Onto the next contest!!!

    hmm I might come back to this I've always considered writng about a band but I've never got round to it!! were you looking for Rock Bands or just any group of people who play music of some kind?

    Any group. Doesn't matter which band you choose it could be Bon Jovi, Rush, Smashing Pumpkins even. Anyone you wanna write about is ok.
    I just thought this was a cool thing to do. You don't see it very often for a contest write.
    So I felt I should go ahead and do it.

    so if I wrote about Simon and Garfunkel then that would be Ok (just like to point out they are not totally representative of my music tastes which varies from Irish folk music to Black Sabbath lol!!) because I love they're music but they're not really a band as such!!

    Hope this helps out anyone that wants to be involved in this contest: Notes: Could be a band or a singer for that matter. I consider anyone that sings and has people to help them perform (like music)= A band.
    So it could be: Bob Dylan to Smashing Pumpkins. Any flavor of music; Rock, Jazz, Rap, Ska, Punk, Pop etc. Your choice.
    (sorry for the confusions)

    oh by the way can it be using lyrics from more than one song? and does it have to rhyme, can it be free verse?

    Wherever the muse leads you, just could be anything,.. I just want someone to get totally into what they are writing,..Not really stealing people's work, but just umm, feeling it,.. you know (think about it this way, when you listen to a song, what is it that make you like it so much,.. write about it)
    It can be written anyway you want to write it. Its up to you. I didn't say how to write it cos. I want to see where the muse would lead you. If you must add lyrics go ahead. Thanks for asking *smile*

    Just a little question. It might be up there and I just keep missing it, but how many writes are we allowed to enter? I entered one already, did my commenting on the other entry...so how many can I enter? this is actually one of my favs to write, being inspired often from songs and artists...so just want to make sure before I bombarded you with many entries!
