- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: A difficult contest to judge, as all the entries were good. It was interesting that some people remembered lead soldiers, and some remembered plastic soldiers. My own childhood favourites were always lead, or at least metal. more fragile, of course.
Thank you for entering. Though it was difficult to judge between works of such a high standard, it was a pleasure. The first prize-winner reflected my own feelings of Notalgia.

Great Contest
Wow, did this contest bring me back! Little green plastic army men, my son ALWAYS played with them! He even chewed on them! They definitely were the war wounded, one arm, one leg, no arms, etc. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you very much for liking my poem and giving it a trophy. I only see this contest when it is ready to close, so I rush to write and entry because we love our collections of old lead soldiers, they mean so much more than just toys. I will think and work some more on the poem, so I thank you for the inspiration for it.
