I love candles...for this contest I would like you to write about them...it can be in any form you like and you can write about them in any way you wish.
A few idea's
1. write a story that includes a candle in it's theme
2. tell me how they make you feel or a significance about them in your life
3. describe a candle burning.
Only idea's...I will accept any poem or story that is about candles.
You may enter up to three pieces and it does not matter if they are prewrites or newly written.
There are no rules ..because I hate rule restriction in poetry...but bad spelling makes me cringe.

i too am a great lover of candles
have you ever tried yankee candles?? i am truly addicted to them! i just moved from a very, very busy city where within a mile i could find anything i wanted. now i live out in cow country in upstate new york and to find yankee candles meant an hour's trip. then one day i spotted a tiny little store and guess what?? bingo... i now have a store ten minutes away that sells one of my passions

I'm from the UK so I'm not too sure what a yankee candle is...but it sounds fascinating....thank you for your entry...don't worry if you don't see a comment from me on it till near the end of the contest....I like to be completely unbiased in judging...this includes not commenting till the end.

A wonderful concept for a contest - I just LOVE candles too and have three big, fragrant ones next to my bed. Maybe I can write something "nice" - best wishes!
