This is a contest for Christians. A question was asked by my Pastor this morning to the congregation in his sermon.. What one word describes your life?
Choices
1. I want you to tell me the word that best describes your life. Then write a poem about that word and how it pertains to your life.
For example my word would be JOURNEY, because it was a long road for me to find God, with many obstacles to overcome.
2.Write a prayer for someone you love.
Rules

2-No erotica or cursing
3-Put the word in authors box for choice #1
4-No prewrites
5-Have fun!!!
6-God Bless you

- Final notes: 1st place Encouragement by Vorondwen-I chose this poem because it is so important to encourage people as they struggle with their faith. I would not been able to have this contest if I were not encouraged the past few months by a wonderful Christian and several others as well. I thank them for that.
2d place Hope by messa p-I chose this because it was written so beautiful and without hope where would we be. Hope burns eternal in our souls. Never let that light burn out. Always be there for each other and never give up hope even in your darkest hour. God is always there beside you.
3rd place Breath by ecol528 - I chose this for 3rd because it touched my heart with sincerity and the simplicity of the words which I could so relate to since I only became a Christian last year after a long struggle. This was very heartfelt

I know the word but I must give it some great thought to write on the subject at hand. Oh my, this is very special for it is good and bad timing. I am getting ready for my childs graduattion and inviting so many guest over for the week next week. gifts to wrap invitations to send and so much to get ready for.

I must agree i think this would be a brillant way to write a poem/ prayer. so i'll try this out i maybe you could read it and tell me what you think, thanks for the idea.
