CONTEST CONCEPT
OPTION ONE :
As it is election day in the UK, we want you to write a poem about a political / societal song that has influenced you or changed your life view, especially if this is by a female artist. You can also write a poem about seeing a political activity on the television or something you have read about; for example, the protests in Japan and China at the moment, AIDS in Africa, the Iraq war etc. Finally, you can write about a female singer / artist who has opened your eyes to how society works, through her songs or through what she says to the media (think Alanis Morrisette (Perfect), Paula Cole (God is Watching)...).
OPTION TWO :
Write a poem inspired by a female singer or one of her songs! Don't to include info about who influenced you in the Authors Comments
OPTION THREE :
Has a song by a female singer changed your life? If so which song and why Write a poem about your feelings and thoughts when you heard that song!
RULES
1. One entry per person. We have allowed prewrites but we will only accept 30 entries. Prewrites must be 100% on topic otherwise they will be disqualified without notice.
2. No sTiCkY cApS
3. Swearing where appropriate is allowed but no erotica please.
4. You MUST use spell check before you post your poem. If you don't use it, your entry will be disqualified.
5. Poems only! Please put poems in the appropriate category.
6. Comment / applaud another entry in this contest and state whose poem your commented on in the Author Comments of your poem.
7. This is contest is for members of the group Hush Hush Hush only.
8. Please state which poem you used to influence your poem in the Authors Comments. If you have written about a world event, please give a brief explanation of the event in the Authors Comments.
9. Please put your Option Number in the Authors Comments
10. If you don't follow all the rules, you will be disqualified!

Thanks to all who have entered and its a real shame we didnt get many entries. However, we did manage to get 3 top quality poems, well deservering of their cups!
The rest of the entries were wonderful and I thank you for taking the time to enter this contest! Because of the member of entries, I don't think it would be appropriate to have 4th.. 5th places etc.

Great contest idea. If I can come up with something before the closing , I most certainly will. I hope that it does go smoothly and you guys get what you are looking for. Glad I became a member of the group a short while back.
