Inventive poetry

Hello,
this is my first contest, so I apologise for all mistakes...

What do I want from you?
I want something new.
I want something inventive.
Read some Tristan Tzara, read some surrealistic poetry,
read some avantgarde.
That's what I want from you.
Be powerful, be new!
Experiment!

Rules:
There's no rules to your writing at all, just be creative.
Please comment my poems and comment the poems you like in this contest.
(and if you applause or donate me points I can put up an award for second and perhaps even third place, too)

Winner gets 300 points.
Silver will probably get something, too. Probably 50 points. We'll see!

And please, only 5 entries on person, please. I will tolerate more, but try to obey this limit. Thanks.

'To be against this manifesto is to be a dadaist.' - Tristan Tzara, Dadaistic Manifesto

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on April 27, 2005
  • Rewards: Gold: 300
  • Final notes:
There were over 100 poems in this contest. I read them all and comented most of them. I found so many very good, unfortunatelly only three can get awarded. It's unfair as such things always are, but I tried to pick the best and the most inovating three.
Thank you all who have entered the contest and all who have commented my poetry and thanks to all who have donated me points!

I love Tzara, though his poetry in English is pretty damn hard to find. There are far too many entries here all ready... most of them rhyming, I see.

Screw it, I'll leave a real short one. This is a great idea, if you can handle all the entries. There is very little effort to actually try something new in poetry.

Cool, finally somebody who knows Tzara. Some of his poetry is on oldpoetry.com, too. Not much, but some poems are there.

And this far I still can handle all the entries - i just read all and comment all (so at end I'll just check my comment and see which I liked and then I'll re-read those).

    Thanks for your applause!

Hi. Here is a donation for points for your second place that you asked for. Thanks for the opportunity to share Pixiku that I just invented.

You are truly to be respcted- with 100 entries plus, I commend you for being a fair judge and reading all of them. I wish all judges took this responsibility as seriously as you have. It's clear you have high standards in mind for poetry and poets, and you should be applauded for that! Congratulations to the winners- I am sure the choice was hard but you made wise ones. Thank you for holding a contest worth entering, please let me know when your next one is!

Next one will be put up right away. I'll IM you, ok?
Thanks for being so kind - I tried to do my best with judging; it sure was hard and it took me quite some time reading all the poems.

Oh trust me I understand, I've run quite a few myself but this last one was the hardest so far- I closed it to entries 4 days ago and tonight's the deadline for people to make corrections (I know, I should be more strict if they don't bother to follow rules, right?) and I'll be deciding who gets the trophies... I do have quite a few honorable mentions though!
