Well hello there everybody!
Welcome to the wacky world of lollylou!
For those of you who are even remotely interested this is contest number 4! Woop!
OK, for the benefit of those of you out there who are as easily confused as me, I am going to lay out the idea of this contest in the easiest way possible! OK here goes..
Ahem..
Read!
First of all you need to read the rules and ideas behind this contest. This is vital if you want to enter.
Choose!
Now that you have decided to enter (of course you have!) you need to IM me with 3 of the following genres;
1. love
2. erotica
3. dark
4. nature
5. fantasy
6. hope
7. spiritual
8. children’s
9. humour
Wait!
Now all you have to do is wait until I reply. I will IM you ONE of your 3 choices and a title for that genre.
Create!
Now using that title and the genre given write me a poem. It can be any form, rhyme or not, any thing! BUT it must match the criteria you have been sent! I WILL BE KEEPING RECORDS OF THE ENTRANTS AND THE REPLY I SEND THEM SO YOU CANNOT TRICK ME MWAH HAHAHAHAHA!
Rules!
Alright, I know we all hate them but you have to have ‘em.
1. absolutely no sticky caps or chat lingo!
2. Swearing is allowed but please keep it to a minimum. I will not read poems that are f** this and s** that!
3. STICK TO THE CRITERIA!!!! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH! For example if I give you a title plus the genre love DO NOT send me an erotic poem etc. This will result in a warning being sent out, giving you 24 hours to edit your entry. Failing this you will be disqualified. (I will write the time on any warnings , using GMT!)
4. You do not have to comment on one of my poems, BUT if you want to you can, it may earn you brownie points.
5. Similarly, however not necessary, it is nice to comment on other entries.
6. Have fun!
OK, lets get penning.
Hugs and kisses
Bugs and fishes
Lolly x
PS - sorry nearly forgot!
1st prize gets a spiffy gold trophy and 400 points
2nd prize gets a spiffy silver trophy and 150 points
3rd prize gets a spiffy bronze trophy and 75 points
there will 5 honourable mentions each receiving 5 points and a hug!!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 22, 2005
- Rewards: Gold: 400
- Final notes: Wow! this was such a fantastic contest and it was almost impossible to judge. ive read every poem over and over again and finally come to a desicion. First of all I want to say the standard of the work was awesome and congratulations to everyone for such terrific poems.
alright and so the moment you have been waiting for....
The Gold trophy goes to nursey poo for off the record. Maybe its because im christian and I loved every word she wrote, maybe because its spiritual but not preachy, whatever. I just loved this. It really stood out.
The silver trophy goes to Blazing white wolf for the sweet caress of hidden passion. I am a HUGE fan of erotica writes and this was really sexual without being crude, which is fantastic. I adored this piece!
The bronze trophy goes to fabledmystery for p.s I love you. This piece was fantastically inspired, I loved how it was written as a letter, so full of hurt and angst, yet ending in those words, p.s I love you.
Honourable mentions (which were just as hard to decide on) go to... (in no particualar order)
* The last petal by vaseline (Fantastically descriptive and very beautiful!
* Through the mist by eyes of blue (Which took me on a journey, so wonderfully descriptive.)
*Promise by simblemyne (This one was so so close to coming third, I really loved the use of comparison, comparing love to everyday things)
* Twinkle toes by deathbythequeen. (simply because It was the most inspired piece, I never thought of using 'twinkle toes' as a petname for cinderella!)
* Lamb by penny B (again another fantabulous spiritual write which I could and probably will read over and over again!)
Well done to all of you, and keep your eyes peeled for my next contest (not literally of course, peeling your eyes would hurt!)
