OK, here we go again. Making another contest because I'm a crazy person. So here we go!
I want you to rewrite your favorite song. You have a few choices as to what you can rewrite it as. So read on.
1. rewrite it so that it pertains to your present life
2. make a parody of it
3. rewrite it to tell the story of fantasy creatures (fairies, wizards, elves, dragons, etc.)
4. make it be the opposite of what the song was about
5. write it so it looks like the musician wrote it directly for you
Rules
1. No sticky caps. No chat speak. No colors that blend in to the background. Slap the caps lock button once in a while. Basically, if it's hard to read, I won't read it.
2. No cutting, no erotica.
3. Two entries per person max.
4. In your author notes you MUST include the title of the song and who originally wrote it (if it is a cover song, yes, I want the original writer, and you can include who covered it). If you don't, the poem won't make any sense to me, and you will be removed from the contest. Feel free to fix it and re-enter if you get removed.
5. No pre-writes.

Awe! My favourite song is actually one that has been re-done by a few people. "Hurt" from Nine Inch Nails-re-done by Johnny Cash and also Trent Ressner.

Ah shoot. I re-wrote my favourite song to mirror my current state in life but it references suicide. It's shown in a negative light. Can I IM it to you to see if I can still post it?
