A-Hoy-A-Hoy? lol sorry that's what my boyfriend says everytime he picks up the phone to talk to me. Mainly cuz he can't tell the difference between my little sister and me, and I can't tell the difference between him and his brother. It's really quite sad eh? oh well we are odd what canyou do about it.

okay well this is my 9th contest and well we're going wacky. Sorta well you are or you won't be any good in this contest. Okay here's what I want.

1.) Write about yourself, don't go all crazy on me, but I want a poem about how you view yourself.
2.) I want a poem about what you think other's think of you. Write maybe a poem from someone else's views about you. Like they are watching you in your typical day. Make sense?
3.) write a poem about someone you know, who may be a little weird, wacky but yet the coolest person on earth. I always say that about my friends, I mean they can be cool, they can be down right embarassing and they can be really serious and just there for me when I need them. I love my friend and I want to know if you do too and why.
4.) Write about a boyfriend or girlfriend that you couldn't live without, tell me why you love them, etc...
--for this one you may enter ones about liking someone who doesn't or may not love you the same way.
5.) write about why you are different fromthe world. How no one is like you. this is one is pretty much tied into the foirst one but a little different.
Okay there are your choices and here are your rules...not many but a few.
Okay 1.) Please use spell check, I don't personnally care but it's nice.
2.) Don't write in sTiCkY cApS...it's really ahrd to read.
3.) I need to feel what you write. Make me be there, make me wanna read more of you and write to win.
4.) no more than 2 entries per person, unless you ask me. I love readingbut I had one contest where I had 300 entries and it was super hard to judge and took me forever at that matter.
5.) Go write and have fun.
First place: 300 points.
Second and Third: If I get more points by the time this is done I will give you some but otherwise you get a lovely trophy to display
Okay well that is all I got.
I want you to have fun and go crazy.

Its always so hard to write a poem about yourself that really portrays to others who you are. I've noticed a lot of people get very melodramatic or pompous, talking about the ways in which they're superior to others or just boasting about themselves. Or the opposite where they demean their own existence. I guess those are legit, but to me a poem about yourself should be introspective and personal, and not written for anyone but yourself as a means of understanding your own being.
But that's just me.

lol I know exactly what you mean...I have rarely seen anyone who has been able to write a really good personnal poem
I like when people can though. It's like me I really try to write about me and how I feel and wanna see things happen and how I thinks should be. It's like poetry is really about you and shouldn't be about anything else. and if people can't feel your emotions then it's not worth writing it.
I am going to judge this soon and it looks interesting.
