Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on February 23, 2005
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: Hi everyone!
Much as I found it wonderful to have so many entries, it was very difficult to judge the contest. Beyond a point, I could not decide.
Many thanks to Maatkara for her generous help in judging the contest. I would like to say that the judgement of this contest is inevitably biased with my personal sense of perception, and that I honestly feel that each haiku was brilliant in its own realm.
The following is the list which I found very difficult to shorten:
samplette - birth
mariza - turning
gaze - moon reflection
naia - haiku 1
empathy eyes – sinking
colinsjones – one bedroom
genielassie – luna's bling bling
larisa - manhatten sunrise
larisa – almost dusk
nadir – sleeping forest
empathy eyes – angels
surfergirl - rescue me
mozaic - nowhere
cartertachikawa- sweet sunlight
charishma - climbing
Many thanks to all the people for participating, and my best wishes to you for everything you do in life!
-Saurabh.

wahhh!!! saurabh.. it must be really hard for you to choose the winner in this contest!!! tonz of great entries!! hehe.....
Good luck to all!!! i hope you'll make another contest like this one!! -
Can someone clarify something. Yesterday, this contest said it was closing later in the day -- and a simple review of the contest entries shows that an enormous number of haiku poems were submitted. NOW, however, the system says that this poem ended "2 days ago." Anyone know why?
-
hi NoIQ,
Actually a lot of entries came into the contest, within the period of a day. The contest was ended yesterday only, but I by mistake put the earlier date while closing it.
Judging it is turning out to be a difficult job!
-
Thanks for the silver!
Congratulations to everyone! -
I'm glad that I was part of the list you couldn't shorten XD. Judging probably was hell though. Congrats to the winners!

Mari
