The nineties weren’t all that long ago.
Yet they span a decade, many of us have a story to tell about them.
I want a story or story-poem about something that happened in the 90’s. Either an event personal to you, or a world event
– but one told with a personal twist.
...Rules
I want to feel the decade in the piece…give me sights and sounds that relate. I want to see plenty of “you” – whether it is a fictional caricature or the real deal.
The ideal presented that best captures my imagination and blows me away, wins.
No sticky caps, no chat language. Check spelling. One poem each only.
Story entries should not be novels. Hold my attention.
Poems should be clearly presentable against their backgrounds.

Cool contest - I'm feeling really nostalgic about the '90's at the moment. Don't think I'd be able to put it into a poem... not a decent one anyway - but cool contest.

Oh stinky me~~ me thought this was a poem Ody
But this is a wonderful idea for a contest. I think I am still kinda trapped in the nineties myself LOL so I could probably write you a novel

Different idea for a contest .. cool. I have tons of 80's poems .. I'll have to give the 90's a thought - mostly for me it was becoming a mom.
Looking forward to reading.

This could be fun. I may have to give it a try. There have been some wonderfully imaginitive contests lately. I feel inspired.

I'd have loved more competition, but thank you so much for the silver, and congrats to those who won.

Odyssey -- I added you to my favs after I joined this contest because I read your own supurb works. My only regret is that you couldn't contribute to this contest in turn, because I assume it would have been a phenomenal piece. To the winners, Kudos! You were judged by true talent, and this is a contest you should feel proud of. All others like myself, feel grateful we had the chance to participate. Read the poetry of the host, and you will understand why we all were smart to enter. Thanks for running this.
