My name's Hayley Im a student in Birmingham, England.
I like to write depressing poetry i guess. I use poetry as a way to vent my emotions, a lot of my poems may come accross as relationships gone wrong, but some are and some aren't.
I am now single after many silly arguments.

Poems Written For Me
To my friend Ohthetragedy
you have become a real sweet friend
on you I know I could depend
I really hope you trust me too
as friends we are and that means a lot
We have a laugh at lots of things
like spiders and hair spray
what a funny thing
we talk about dates and kids
we talk about the bad stuff too
to have a giggle and a friend like you
makes me proud that your my sister too
I want to say thank you sis
for you have helped me so much lately
thanks for making me smile
thanks for your honesty
and thanks for the tips with the hair spray
(It's still in the glass lol)
Love ya sis

Hayley is My A P Niece
and I love her so very much
as ever since I met her
my life she did touch
She's a most beautiful Person
with a loving heart to match
and anyone finding love with her
have found the greatest catch
For she's wonderful in every way
that a Person could ever be
and that is why I'm proud
to her Auntie be.

HOMOPHOBIA IS WRONG
I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didnt have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

Simple Friend vs. Real Friend
A Simple Friend has never seen you cry.
A Real Friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.
A Simple Friend doesn't know your parent's first names.
A Real Friend has their phone numbers in his/her address book.
A Simple Friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.
A Real Friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean-up.
A Simple Friend hates it when you call after he/she has gone to bed.
A Real Friend asks you why you took so long to call.
A Simple Friend seeks to talk with you about your problems.
A Real Friend seeks to help you with your problems.
A Simple Friend wonders about your romantic history.
A Real Friend could blackmail you with it.
A Simple Friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A Real Friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself.
A Simple Friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A Real Friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had a fight.
A Simple Friend expects you to always be there for them.
A Real Friend expects to always be there for you!

Strength vs Courage
It takes strength to be firm
It takes courage to be gentle.
It takes strength to stand guard.
It takes courage to let down your guard
It takes strength to conquer.
It takes courage to surrender.
It takes strength to be certain.
It takes courage to have doubt.
It takes strength to fit in.
It takes courage to stand out.
It takes strength to feel a friend's pain.
It takes courage to feel your own pain.
It takes strength to hide your own pains.
It takes courage to show them.
It takes strength to endure abuse.
It takes courage to stop it.
It takes strength to stand alone.
It takes courage to lean on another.
It takes strength to love.
It takes courage to be loved.
It takes strength to survive.
It takes courage to live.
