This may be the last chance you have to get your letter in for publication in the February issue of the AllWrite magazine! Don't let this opportunity pass you by.
Here is YOUR chance to "Say It In A Letter".
The AllWrite magazine staff has agreed to designate a certain amount of space to the members of Allpoetry. This will be done on a first come/first serve basis.
Is there somebody special in your life that you would like to express intense feelings for? Husband? Wife? Significant Other? Special Friend? Mom? Dad? Brother? Sister? Etc. It doesn't necessarily have to be a letter declaring an undying love, although we will certainly welcome and accept those. It could be a letter for someone who has helped you through a particularly difficult time in your life.
Think of the smile it will bring to the lips of your loved one to find a special letter, from you, published in an online magazine for everyone to see and share in the celebration of your feelings toward them. Your letter should be an expression of your most inner feelings for another person and it should come from the heart. Be sincere, honest, and caring.
What better time to say all the things you have always wanted to say but have never been able to bring yourself to say face to face. Perhaps you are a bit shy when it comes to voicing how you feel, or maybe you feel clumsy, awkward and stumble over your words whenever you try to verbalize them. Then again, maybe you have no problem at all expressing your true feelings for that special person in your life and you just want them and everyone else to know how much value you place on them. Whatever your situation is, this is your chance to let that special someone know how you feel.
Your letters will be kept completely confidential until the release of the February issue of the AllWrite magazine. You can send your letter to me via email at touchof1der@allpoetry.com
When addressing your letter, you can use the other parties name, initials, Sweetheart, Darling... whatever heading you so choose. Also remember that it will be up to YOU to notify them of where and when they can view their letter.
I will personally send all the entrants an IM with the link when the magazine is released.
Because we want as many people as possible to be able to participate, you can only send in one submission.
Everybody loves a lover. For those of you who were not aware of it, not only was Napoleon Bonaparte a man of politics and action, he was also a passionate lover. For some added inspiration, here is a letter he wrote to Josephine Beauharnais.
To Josephine
Dec. 29, 1795
I awake all filled with you. Your image and the intoxicating pleasures of last night, allow my senses no rest.
Sweet and matchless Josephine, how strangely you work upon my heart.
Are you angry with me? Are you unhappy? Are you upset?
My soul is broken with grief and my love for you forbids repose. But how can I rest any more, when I yield to the feeling that masters my inmost self, when I quaff from your lips and from your heart a scorching flame?
Yes! One night has taught me how far your portrait falls short of yourself!
You start at midday: in three hours I shall see you again.
Till then, a thousand kisses, mio dolce amor! but give me none back for they set my blood on fire.
B.
Okay people, get busy and start writing now!!
