One thing that I do in my free time is go on allpoetry.com I have my own writing group on there called ‘Left Behind by the Ones You Love’. I put my all into my group and try to make it one of the best. My group contains 68 people that are either troubled with family, friends, or emotional problems(like me), or have been through a lot. I made a group for people like me, people that have lost friends and/or family to death, or have just been left through their years of growing up.
Having my father come in and out of my life, and me losing 4 friends to death in the last year and a half has been hard. People leave me all the time, and the way I get attached makes it so it hurts more. I know that there are people all over the world that can relate to the feelings I have, and deal with it in the same way. So I created my group for them to turn to, when they felt like no one cared.
In my group we do many things. We have contests for poetry, topics of the week, games for points, and a message board where we can help each other. It is one of the most successful groups ever, and I am so proud of it. I try to be on there as much as I can, at least in the afternoon’s after school, because that is when its most active. I enjoy meeting new people, and having people turn to me, or trust me the way they do.
I would’t change anything about my group for the world. I love it, and I love the way everyone is different, yet the same. Everyone is going through problems, but they’re each unique. I started it sometime in September after Richard left, and it has helped me so much, because there’s always someone to talk to. For once in my life, I feel like I belong, and now so do 68 others. Each day my group grows and becomes more of a success, if you'd like to be apart of it, you should defiantly apply today!
