This is haikumonkgirl's sister LaLa, and I just got off the phone with her. She wanted me to let you all know that she's been dealing with a lot in her home, and is deeply sorry that she hasn't yet been able to return the favor. She hasn't forgotten about all of your kind words of courage, love, and support, and will get to your poems, and work soon.

    Dammit, she doesn't have to return favors, though her politeness is more than appreciated by me and, of course, others. I hope she is well. Seeing this column scared the heck out of me. <_<

    I've talked with her on New Years.... she has a lot going on but sounded great. Well, as much as she suffers, it is amazing how buoyant she is.... how spunky her voice sounds. We had her talk to everyone at our party...lol.... it was fun... as it always is. I'll come back and post again after I talk with her today. Take care all and thanks for caring so much about her. I know she appreciates it.

    i don't know her well at all but i have read her work and enjoyed it. i also don't know of her troubles but i do hope things are soon better for her
