lol, well said silica, read my poem giddy on the bible, it is precisely about the futility of prayer, I mean, God dont make mistakes so why ask him to change his will? I can accept that some people pray for guidance or meditation though.
(This isnt intended as a slight to this post, just saw silicas response and it is a reply to that. The post itself isnt my cup of tea but I am glad you have faith.) -

jesus is in our heart with us each element of each day
jesus is not an idol, he is our savior, he is our breath of life
denying him is denying yourself all the blessing he bestows on your life. He is a choice we personally make and wants to give you love, light and happiness. His reward is greater than any throne sitting on a cloud up there somewhere......

I like welcoming the new day too. Sunrise is so full of hope and promise - Im not sure of worshipping tho' Anyway each new day is one less that we have to enjoy this wonderful planet
