Rules for performers

1) Please abide by all guidelines you have read so far in every article
2) You can use any backgrounds provided by All Poetry, but you may not go outside all poetry.
3) You will be judged on content, performance, and audience reaction.  Always keep this in mind.
4) Both skill and luck will determine who wins ,and in a slam it is often a power struggle between the two, so be a good loser no matter what happens!

can we use the tiling (uber only) and/or solid color backgrounds? I feel like this is a dumb question, but I just want to clarify. I am assuming that custom backgrounds are a no-no?

Maybe a rule for the performers should also be to use backgrounds/fonts that work well together, no dark on dark sort of thing.

I'm going to be in the audience; but I've read these rules in case I'm chosen as a judge. This is going to be so much fun.
