Meeting Old Poets and Earning Points - 7

Come on in and check out some old poets and earn some points!

Ah, Yes...Spring is now upon us all and Easter is mere days away!

The Easter holiday means a variety of things to each and every one of us.  Some see it as a traditional religious holiday. Some see it as a secular event.  The one thing that the majority of people have in common regarding Easter is that there are celebrations that occur worldwide on this day. Since the traditions are many and varied, I am supplying a link which provides information for customs around the world.

Easter Around the World:

So whether it is religious ceremonies and activities to easter bunnies and egg hunts, to family gatherings and bellies full of chocolate...there is something for everyone to enjoy at this time of year (including OLDPOETRY!)  Below you will find just a small sample of some pages I found related to fun Easter activities. Enjoy!

Go to OldPoetry.  Make sure you are logged in.  Find a poem with each of the words on the list below and comment on them. There are ten words on the list so you should comment on all ten poems.  Come back to this column and post the links to the poems you have commented on along with the word you found in each poem. For example:

Spring - http:/ /oldpoetry.com/poetry/10465

The list of words you must find in poems:

1. rabbit
2. egg
3. basket
4. bonnet
5. spring
6. chocolate
7. candy
8. bunny
9. hunt
10.parade

ALSO...in addition to the ten comments, you are required to write a haiku (3 lines, 5-7-5 syllable count) about Easter and post it in your comment on this column along with the links to the poems you commented on at OldPoetry.

This hunt will close on Wednesday, April 14th. The FIRST FIVE PEOPLE to COMPLETE this hunt in its entirety will be awarded 50 points each.

As always, I offer special bonus points during the time the hunt remains open.  It is simple to figure out where the bonus is if you read the entire column.  The first five people to do the bonus this week will receive 25 points each.

Good luck, Enjoy the Hunt and Happy Easter to all!

Well! Excellent job on this hunt and for the bonus (reading and commenting on the spotlight poems). I can see I am going to have to up the ante on the mystery bonus and make it more difficult to find! lol. Even though we only had 4 people participate this time around...the entries were very nicely done. I thank you for your time, effort and interest!

The points for the 50 point hunt go to:

Sorry for the delay. I got a little caught up in some overdue school work and truth be told, I got my dates mixed up. I will distribute the points tomorrow in the a.m. Again, my apologies to all for any inconvenience.

I forgot all about this - and the only reason why I remembered is because of the 50 points. Tho, small, it is past the 14th tho there is only 4 people who did it and not 5.

You may use the words in the list and their plurals. I had that in the original column but must have edited it out somewhere along the way. The words in the list or their pluralization (with an "s" on the end) is fine.
