THE OPEN WIDE SEA
Someone once asked me what the sea meant to me?i couldn't answer such a hard question, cause the sea means alot to me,oh the sea that endless wavy beauty,it gives alot which are valuable but sometimes takes precious souls too.
The sea has always been some kind of a mystery,no one can give it full security,no one'll ever know ALL its secrets. Those creamy waves that fade, break at the shore, can be so cruel and strong that they wreck ships, even whole islands could sink by those waves and no one would ever hear of them again, though those waves might appear too pretty, calm, romantic yet they'rent always so.
That sea that when the sun kisses it in the sunset together they create the pretties scene in the world, yet the same sea can be too gloomy and angry in a manner that would take hearts out off chests, still it can be too kind, gentle and if you just look at it it'll take away all your sadness, sorrows.
The sea is very mysterious,it gives some people a way of living like fishermen, pearls collectors, yet it sometimes ends others lives,no one could ever say the sea's evil, yet it'snt always good,if we think carefully we'll find that in life there are a lot of people just as the sea in character, sometimes too soft other times too gloomy, may be GOD created the sea that way to teach us how to treat such people like the sea.
As for me when i rethink about that question about what the sea really meant to me,I'd answer by saying that i consider the sea a part of me not the angry, gloomy sea no but the gentle, wonderful sea, when i look at the sea,it's as if it talks to me,shares all my sorrows wash them away, share my fears and carry them with me,,its waves give me hope to achieve my dreams, they tell me that life doesn't end when we face hard times.
The sea'll always be there ,it'll keep giving us beauty, precious treasures, still it'll take people's souls that are meant to be kept in the sea forever.
one of GOD'S gifts to us is the sea
nature's amazing

Yes, the sea can be very frightning and can "take precious souls" as you said. I love to read and write about the sea - and I love to watch it and see it, and I like to write about the wonderful side, the beauty, the mystery, the tides, etc. -
but as you stated, the sea can also be very unforgiving.
