Helping Someone

Helping those who can't help themselves really makes you think about life, doesn't it?
Children of today don't realize the fact that not everyone is ... the same and some people need help to get through their long days in life. As a small child, growing up I realized this because of my grandmother's boarding home. While the years went by, my mother and grandmother had me helping around the house doing small tasks that made a huge difference. The older I got, the more tasks I had to do, till I moved down here (Mississippi). I was then unable to help my grandmother, because of the distance although I came up with a new idea. Soon after my idea's birth, I was planned to stay the summer at the McCarthy's Boarding Home. There I cooked, cleaned, and helped out through ways that I could. That summer I learned a great deal about life, and what it really means. Helping those people made me feel lucky to be able to not only understand, but be able to handle everything it throws at me. From that summer forward, I promised myself, I would take life to the fullest, and help everyone I could.I had to write this for an english assignment, and thought I would share it with you!!!

wonderful work i bet you got an A* for this.
This was from the heart and very touching.
Id say show it to your family if you want to.
This made me smile that some people actually realise now in life just how unimportant certain things are, and that things like this should be kept well above other things.

Basically a case of humanity getting their priorities right.

    good work > _

Just be careful is all I can say....I'm in that spot now....I cna't seem to say no to those that need help, but when the times comes for yours, and you need help, hope and pray that they aren't towards you, how they are me...I never asked for anything in return, but once I finally figured out I was being used and then just tossed aside, I knew that I had to do smething about it, and now that I have....I have no freinds, except those that are over 1800 miles away....And no one wants to help me, like I've helped them, so I could go see that "special" friend. I have a feeling that you'll get luckier than me though...Great write, wonderful read
