Can We Really Handle a Broken Heart?

We've dealt with them, We've lived through them. Break ups are hard but the stronger you are the easier you can get over them.

Hey people, I just wanted to start this column off by saying thank you to everyone who has commented on my poems. Also I want to send a special shout out to Addison; I’m here for you if you need anything.
Moving on, has anyone ever been in a break up? OK, I know that was like the stupidest question ever asked, but I had to ask. We’ve all been through break up, we’ve all been dumped and the dumper, am I right? I know am, anyway some have asked how do you get over the one you loved? Well here’s the key, you have to be strong; you can’t run home in tears, grab a bag of chocolate chip cookies or a container of Eddy’s cookie and cream ice cream and ball like a baby. Here comes my bluntness I warned all of you about: Get a Grip and Get over him/her. There are better things to come, trust me. You might be thinking right now, “Could you have been any harsher?” well to tell you the truth, yes. But I have a heart, it might be small and a little black, but I have one.
We’ve all made sacrifices, for the one we love/loved, and how do they repay us? Well I’ll tell you how; they rip out our hearts and take a jackhammer to them, and then give them back to us. But you have to realize those who broke your heart, will be heartbroken. I’m a huge believer in Karma.
All of you that a currently going through a break up, or just getting over breaking up, which ever. You have to remember life isn’t always fair, so, pick yourself up and dust off and go find the next special someone.
