ADDING VIDEO

Explanatory tutorial on how to upload a video from your Computer to AP through the host U/TUBE

 

There are two parts to uploading video's the first is loading your video on to UTube

But firstly follow the Utube rules make sure you have permission to play the video!

 create a Utube Account if you have not already. 

 

Note* this is a little complex as you are uploading through a Host so take your time and follow every step 

 

 To up load a video from your computer  to your Utube account page locate the yellow Upload button in the right hand top corner under Sign out and click to progress to the Upload page.

 

 

From here browse to your video file (remember the larger the file the longer to up load)

 

 

While your video is loading fill out the video information section

Copy the page URL from All poetry of the videos destination and place this in the description box this part is very important  

 

 

Fill out the upload details

Note* once the video has uploaded it takes a few minutes depending on its size to convert the video file to a flash shockwave file so dont be alarmed if your video takes a while to show up in your "MY VIDEOs" section on U tube...

 

 

Once your video is loaded open the utube page for your video select Customize

 

 

Then from the panel make your selection on size and colour of the player

 

 

Then copy the Embed code and head back to the Edit Poetry page you are placing the video


 

 

 

 

 Your done have fun!

 

Note: this tutorial is based on file uploading from your computer

to upload directly from another devise please consult the U Tube help section.

If you have already uploaded a video to add the URL page address select the edit link on your MY VIDEO page on U Tube and add the URL to the discription box then follow the last instrutions

    Well, here is the task

    the account already exsists on youtube, the owner would like to have it on her main page. That owner is Jalabad -- Judy Meeker, I have tried everything to see if I could help her. I have failed. Can you tell me if we can copy paste simple like onto myspace ? Why if this is a paid site both Judy and I are Gold Members, why can we not do it?
    This very frustrating for me - I wish I could have helped her.

        well, Master, two thoughts of wisdom from this grasshopper- as in a poem, it does not have to be 'great' to be enjoyed, and (if that weren't enough wisdom for one day!) in pop culture (and its associated entertainment) the audience doesn't give two shits about your art. Do you know what they are into? (one guess...) (buzz) wrong! (whatever you guessed! lol) They are only concerned with one thing- your libido... so shake your booty and give it! (two original insights, thank you, the former gleaned from being on AP)...

    Well....

    I'm hoping this will help. I'm still confused! I've already got 3 videos [cloaked] on YouTube. The problem is that I want to upload here & can't figure out the details after I click upload video! I have a WMV of what I uploaded to YouTube & thought I could just upload that from my PC. I have to interface with YouTube to do this? Let me go read again! Thanks for this. ADD & Brain Injured. It makes me slow & I find it difficult to follow directions.

      Well needed? How is it that a poetry site needs an option to post a video above a poem? What ever happened to words are words and they speak for themselves?
      Oh well, at least those that cannot express themselves properly in writings can always show a video clip instead...
