Universal Spirituality , oh how we have grown

this is a column dedicated to poems of growth and understanding, I hope you enjoy
unmasked

a dream it was,
a device to siphon sympathy.
marking all that has passed for loves pretense,
forfeited, now spent.
a sea change it would seem,
awakened in another realm.
passing sweet
the aftertaste of loves deceit
lingers on my lips
unmasked in naked light.

This poem speaks about growth through heartbreak, the ability to gain something positive out of an experiened that one time would have beena devistation. Growth is continual and when trials are faced, the become more managable and often an important step on our life pathm Namaste

passages

fear is natural
with change come tears and new life
mourn not its passage

this Senru was written as a responce to a prompt again looking at the changes that surround us as we travel through life, a message to embrace them not to fear them

"Weep not that the world changes -- did it keep a stable, changeless state, it were a cause indeed to weep."
Author: William C. Bryant

Glad to have found your page

With transition in life comes pain and growth, one cannot be without the other. I am again reminded of this growth phase for me right now. Thank you for reminding me of the positive outcome of such pain and transformation. Namaste.

i love the poem, love the theme. I agree. Sometimes we need those sad times to let us grow. I know I have had 2 major things at least that has helped me to learn more about life. At the time when those things were occuring I was in a lot of emotional pain but I would not be the person I am today if it were not for what I went through. I'm so glad you wrote this.
