Have you been published or self published?

If you've been published please check out this column.

If you have any questions IM me because the comment section here is only to be used for promotion of your poems. It is becoming a problem, and I am having to delete a lot of comments that aren't promotion. The reason why you need to IM me is that I might not see the question at the moment in my notes. Feel free to send me an IM on the site and I will respond asap. If the comment is not promotion of your currently published work it will be deleted.

Firstly, I would like to thank Errant Panther for this suggestion. I will be putting together a column of AP poets who have been published, or self published. If you have a poem that's been published in a book (except the ones allpoetry did) you can also link to that as well.  If you would like to be included in this column please leave your information below with the latest links to your books, and ISBN number.

Please do NOT post someone elses info on this column. I need for them to put their own information in because when you do this you'll be giving me full permission to post it on the column. If they don't post their own info in that means I would have to track them down for personal permission so it's just better for each indiviual to post their own.

If you have a book that's been published there will be a column on Storywrite.

Thanks!

Kari,

Activity Leader

OK let me start here with the published items I have posted on AP: http://allpoetry.com/list/50749-Published-works

I have had numerous poems published in magazines, but I am afraid I have lost details when and where most of them were published. Of late I have had a few published in Sonneto Poesia magazine http://sonnettopoesiahome.homestead.com/ (of which I am an associate editor) and in Canadian Zen Haiku magazine http://canadianzenhaikuhome.homestead.com/ . My sonnet "After the Full Moon" is here http://www.harlequinmagazine.com/issue12.html in Harlequin magazine.

Some of the other magazines that have carried poems and short stories of mine have been "Areopagus", "Quantum Leap", "Haiku Scotland", "Rubies in the Darkness", "Rainbow Poetry News", "Green Queen", "FirstTime", and "Time Haiku".

I have had poems published in the following anthologies: "Brother, My Cup" http://www.lulu.com/content/353130 and "Sentinels" http://www.lulu.com/content/1760690 .

I have had an article in French published in issue 194 of "Recteau-Verso", a Swiss magazine. http://www.recto-verseau.ch/

For two years running I have had short stories read aloud by professional actor Martyn James at the prestigious Winter Words literary festival in Pitlochry, Scotland. the stories were "Chagrin", and "Vae Victis" (the latter was actually written for his voice).

... oh yes, does this count? My poem "Djembe" is etched into an African drum on display in the New Orleans Museum of Art.

    my self published book

    Description: TONY’S CRIME STORIES
This book contains short crime stories based on my years as a Detective Sergeant with the New York City Police Department, Transit Division. Some stories are fiction and some are nonfiction. Names have been changed to protect anyone from being offended. There are stories with some adult content, recommended for 18 years and above. There are also some of my poems for your reading pleasure. It is written in simple English so anyone can read it.
This book is dedicated to my niece, Melanie Hernandez, whom God called to be one of his angels on September 30, 2008. She would help me with the proofreading, and always give me good advice. The pain will always be in my heart. May she be at peace? It also contains stories about my friends, who I love dearly.
To purchase or download this book, please follow these few steps:
Go to www.lulu.com and click on BUY. There, under CATEGORIES, click on BOOKS VIEW ALL, and then click on MYSTERY & CRIME. Write in search BOX. TONY’S CRIME STORIES and hit GO.
You will see two books. They are both the same. One book cost $34.58 because it has some pictures in it. I recommend the other book, without the pictures, for $9.66 or that you download it to your computer at a fee of $5.00.
I will be making a profit of $1.50 on each book. I’m not doing it for the money, I’m doing it to share my memories and talent.
I thank you and hope you enjoy the book.

    Poetry Book from 2008

Shadow Play by Gabrielle Bryant-Gainer is 500 pages. ISBN: X-00000052994
It is 6x9 Paperback and perfect bound.

Self Published through www.wordclay.com which has an online bookstore.

This is a poetry collection of my writings from 2007+2008. The book is called Shadow Play. It is numbered, has an index, and is 500 pages long. Here is the link to the website where I self-published it.

    http://www.wordclay.com/BookStore/BookStoreBookDetails.aspx?bookid=45974

About the Book: Shadow Play is my first collection of poetry that was written from December 2007 to December 2008. It speaks of passion in hard times, and finding courage in a misplaced world. It is a book that reminds me of my struggles to find my own identity, and to relate to the world around me. I used these poems to cope with life. I write to express something more unusual. My poems are abstract, and sometimes vague as well. I hope that people will enjoy them because I feel that over the years I have improved.

    Thankyou,

    SweetJane

Thank you for running with this idea, I think it will help those who want to publish to know that so many here have already done so and also for those that wish to buy books of poetry by other site members.

My first self published book of poetry "The Wisdom Of Shadows" has the ISBN number 9780646463094 is available for purchase direct from me, anyone interested should IM me so as to keep details confidential.
