Young Poet of the Month

Congrats!!!

1. Where do you live?

A far, far off alien planet. But right now, I’m living in Georgia. And, because some of you are creepy stalkers I will say no more.

2.What is the first thing you remember that perked your interest in writing?

Hmm… In fifth grade we had to write stories with ten of our vocabulary words for nearly every set. I guess I decided writing was fun then, and my sixth grade teacher had us writing stories too, so that helped fuel it!

3. What grade are you in and how old are you?

I’m about to be in the tenth grade (and we have to wear uniforms this year L ), and I’m 15 years old =].

4. Do you attend a public,private,boarding,or homeschooled?

Public!

5. What would you like to be when you get older?

A bum! Ok… not really, I want to be an author. Just need to learn how to finish what I start.

6. What's your favorite color?

I like the colors black and white, they compliment each other nicely.

7. Food?

Noodles and popcorn! But not necessarily together.

8. Pastime?

Being a young child. Just being one, it was fun. I want to stay a kid forever.

9. Music?

All kinds! Except classical, and opera, and other stuff like that. But I like rap, hip hop, rock, heavy metal, some death metal, some techno, and country.

10. TV Show?

Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Big Bang Theory, reality shows like So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Got Talent =]

11. Movie?

I like a lot of movies too… St. Elmo’s Fire, The Dead Poet’s Society (I’m in love with this one!), A Beautiful Mind, aaaand I could never forget Disney’s Pixar’s Finding Nemo! =]

12. Poet ?

None really… I don’t read any famous poets, and don’t have any specific favorites from Allpoetry, either.

13. Book ?

Whoa. Bad question to ask me. I love too many books! But for two of my most favorite books, I’ll have to list Winter of Fire by Sherrly Jordan and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Also, anything and everything by Christopher Pike

About Your Life On All Poetry

1. Give me a brief rundown of your history on AP. In other words, how did you get here?

My cousin introduced my to Storywrite when Allpoetry and Storywrite were nearly identical, and because I didn’t have any way of getting my stories from one laptop to another, I started writing poetry.

2. How long have you been a member of All Poetry?

Since December 11, 2005!

3. Do you have any real life family on here? If so, what are there screen names and relation?

Yes. My cousin, her name is Sacrificed Beauty on here, but she hardly comes on anymore L.

About Your Poetry :

1. When did you first begin to write?

Sometime in December 2005, I guess. But then it was kind of just playing with poetry.

2. What kind of poetry do you write the most? Dark,Happy,Etc.

Poetry with a lot of adjectives, usually. I’m not really sure what kind of mood most of them take on, a little of it all, I guess.

3. Who are your influences?

Famous poets? I don’t really read any… so for poetry, I don’t think I have any, unless you’d count my cousin for introducing me to the site.

4. What feeds your desire to continue writing poetry ?

I just enjoy doing it. It makes me happy when I can actually see something I started completed, and I can usually finish a poem as opposed to a story.

General :

1. Hobbies?

Writing poetry, your royal duhness’es . Also, I like reading, and imagining, and being on the computer. Can breathing be considered a hobby? I’m kind of fond of that…

2. Pets?

One spoiled dog named Rinni. She doesn’t like me much sometimes, I must stink to her v.v.

3. Talents?

Is writing a talent? I can stay quiet for long periods of time… I hardly say two words at school =]. Bad talent, I know.

4. Jobs?

Haha! I’m a bum for now!

5. What advice would you give to growing poets ?

Don’t restrain yourself too much, and look for inspiration in the strangest places. And never think that there’s not room for improvement no matter how good you become =].

6. Anything else you can think of.

I want to say hello to all the purple penguins of the world! Aaand… thank you to whoever nominated me o.o. That’s about it, I guess… ttfn people!

We are celebrating a young budding poet, Please be kind, Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but please show each member the respect that is deserved.

Thank you!
