More logo ideas

My obsession has carried me towards another set of potential logos. I think one of these will be the lucky one!
I'll start again this time with my newest favorite:


Here's my favorite from last time moved to the left side, and tied in with a bigger 'A' in allpoetry. I like it a lot too:

    I agree with most of the preceeding comments, The design with the current raven ties in to all that has come before on the site, and the new font gives it a modern edge.

    Another random thought. They seemed to lack the depth of the current logo. Not that my ideas will change much but just a thought.

    does it have to be blue? Why do you want to change it anyway? It's great now. The current raven on the new font looks pretty cool though. If you have to change something, make it so we don't have to delete poems to get one for a pre-write contest. Another server maybe? LOL

      When you are entering a prewrite, there is a link, "all", that will bring up the entire list of poems. Maybe I am not understanding your problem.

    Just another note. Just comparing the first two, I think the alignment and framing of the second one is better. Maybe there's a little too much space between the bird and the A in the first one?

    I'd really like to see that second bird in black like you have the first one.

    I am really liking the shape of the second one, but I like the way you colored the first one. I think the idea of sort of having him perched on the A is a good one.

    The first and second are my favorites.

    Don't think you should keep the old raven. Time for something cleaner.

    I agree, your favourite is the one which i like the best. My next favourite was the one using the current raven. Hope you get lots of feed back to help you make up your mind.

    first of all, i want to thank you for all the work you have done and are continuing to do, it can't be easy with so many people to please...

    now for the logo, i think No. 5 is the best, keeps the classic ap raven and looks pretty cool, not crazy about the font but it's not bad...

    Flying gull

    The gull gets my vote. I'm a bit tired of Poe's raven.

    "Hail to thee blithe spirit" That's what the gull makes me think of. "Bird thou never wert."

    Great choices

    The current raven with the new font is beautiful. That bird looks like he means business! He is obviously pecking away, just as we all do at our keyboards. The effect is Poe-esque.

    Any is an improvement on the current logo which has now become a little dated.

    My personal feeling is that having the bird (I always thought it was an eagle on the original logo, but I am no ornithologist) actually on the logo is distracting and clutters it up.

    I don't understand the symbolism of the bird, but I feel the idea of a soaring bird is good as it would suggest soaring inspiration.

    i agree with FallingUpTheStairs i love the logo we have now but the new font is fantastic and the blue is an awsome new style but I do lik the one you like wioth the raven on the A but if you could try to make the raven more powerful and interesting It would win my vote

    I like the current raven on the new font. The others look flat and boring, the current raven has action, detail, and a certain elegance that fits better for a poetry site.

    All Good, but

    I like #5 the raven is more defined and there is more movement than the others. the new font is wonderful.

    I have looked at all the logo's and studied each one carefully and i have to say that i like the first one the best because i like how the bird is resting as if it were looking at something and the writing is unique, not the word i was looking for but has the same meaning but I do hope that the first one becomes the logo. Good job Kevin

    my 2 cents

    Something still seems to be missing. How about with a large moon behind both the raven and the words- as if it were rising? I like him/her perched on the extended "A" stroke.

    #1 is just "ok" although I do like that the raven sits on the "A" and looks back at the logo.
    #2,3,4 are a little too catoonish and flat.
    #5 fits best with the swirly writing in the logo AND shows action. It also as a drawing shows the most detail and depth as a figure.
    #6 shows action too, but is detached and little too undefined.

    My choice - #5

    I like the font but none of the birds stick out to me...maybe im too picky. if i had to pick one i'd say the bird we already have plus the new font....

    Personally, I always thought the current raven never really looked like a raven at all unless you looked close. For a long time, I didn't actually know what it was, and my fiance (also on AP) though it was a witch on a broom...Ahahaa.

    I think we should change it. It's been up there long enough.

    It's ultimitly your decision to make. However,I personally prefer our current one displayed above with wings outstreached. It epitimizes the inspiration and aspirations of poetry composing.More so than the stationary non-motion ones.And I sure wish for another more elaborate Poeish kind myself.

    I like the 5th one the best. (The one that looks like the raven on the 'A' is about to take flight.) They are all pretty freakin' awesome; but i think the 5th is the coolest! :-)

    I like this one,

    but again I like the bolder letters a bit bigger for us older folks to read? glasses help yes but with astigmatism, it is a bit bothersome, believe me I had the problem for 40 yrs...
    help those who have sight problems please... thank you , your a gem!

    I love the sixth one best. I think it is a nice change to have the raven on the other side of the page, rather than up with the logo itself. The other ones don't quite "click" with me. They just don't feel right.

    Though if I had to choose another, I would go with the first one.
