Since you're such a quizmistress now, i've got one for you.
A King and Queen hold a banquet. They sit at either end of a rectangular table and their knights sit at the long sides. There are 7 knights at each long side of the table.
Each person at the table knocks their goblet once with the person to their left AND to their right.

Correct.
Most people try to think of this mathematically and add all the people up and then double it because the goblets knock twice for each person.
But if you think about it logically, if everyone knocks their goblet with the person to their left, it would make a complete cycle and thus everyone would knock with the person to their right at the same time.
So the number of knocks is exactly = to the number of people at the table.
