Hii everyone.
Over the past two weeks, you guys have all auditioned for your chance to compete in this first season of project poetry. I’m excited to say that even though auditions are technically still open, I will be posting your first challenge/assignment. Please, hold the applause. No, seriously. Quit being a suck up.

You can breathe easy though guys. This is not an elimination challenge but a reward. We’ll start off with something just to warm you up & make sure everyone has had to submit a fresh write to this contest before the games begin.
I’ll try to make this relatively short:
This is an immunity pass challenge. I will be handing out two passes to the toppoets of this challenge. These immunity passes will allow you to be safe if you are either a. voted out by your team/group/whatever or b. eliminated by my decision because your poem was terrible. Also, this pass can be given from its holder to any other player in the competition. Think of it as a pardon. [I am totally lost as to how some of this disappeared.]
Basically, go here. Enter in that you want to produce 11 integers. Then click "Get numbers."
See those lovely, random integers? Pick a number, any number in there. Don’t cheat yourself guys. Clicking “Again!” is morally wrong. You have 11 numbers in front of you. Don’t just keep clicking until your favorite pops up. Suck it up & pick one. Thank you.
After doing so, go here. Ah yes. Getty Images. Picture inspiration 101. In the search box, type in your number. Not the spelling of it, the digits. Don’t click any extra options please. Thank you.
A plethora of pictures should show up. Pick one you find inspiring & run with it. Before you get started though, please comment this page with your number & the link to your picture. You may have to tinypic/photobucket it. Oh boo hoo. Just do it.
Two people cannot write from the same picture, so it’s on a first come-first serve basis.
Your poem can be of any length, but I will get tired of reading a novel. Don’t do it. Also, lovely paid members, don’t post the picture with your poem. I find that annoying. The poem comes first in this contest, not some picture. If you wish to post a link to it or something in the author’s comments, kudos to you. Other than that, there are no limitations, but I can tell you right now, I am not skilled enough to judge poems about faeries & dragons or a poem glorifying Jesus H. Christ. Keep that in mind.
I will not be opening a contest for this assignment, so please post the link to your poem when you are done. These poems are due by April 5th, 11:11PM CST for obvious reasons.
Take notice guys: If you do not enter a poem, you will be eliminated.
It’s still an assignment. If you can’t write a poem right now, then you won’t be able to do it when you’re forced to work with other people or have a deadline.
Any questions, please IM me/ask a friend.

Note #1: If everyone turns in their poems before their due date, I will give you extra time on your next, competitive challenge. :]
Note #2: You cannot change your picture. I won't be giving you guys the chance to pick prompts often, so you need to really think about your decisions. I don't want to sound like a bitch, but I have to stay firm on something.

[I believe.
]I need to decided what I'm going to do with Chelsea, since her computer is in fact broken. That, in fact, is not her fault, but she will still not be able to compete in the competition at this time. Hmm. I may have you vote on the issue. Not sure.
