2. Do you write poetry for each other? We have written a few poems for each other in the past, mostly during our “courtship” period
Do you write any collabs together ? No we have not
Why did both of you start writing ?
Just a way of dealing with thoughts and feelings I suppose.

3. Did either one of you go to college/university?
TanyaB: yes

4. If so, what was the major ?
TanyaB: majored in Chemistry

5. Outside of college, how have the two of you educated yourselves beyond secondary school?
TanyaB: Various jewelry making classes
Aaxmym: Computer classes

6. Between both of you do the two of you share a favorite color ?
No,
Aaxmym’s favorite color is Blue
Tanya B’s favorite color is Red

7. Food ?
We both like pizza, ice cream, chocolate, cakes and pies, and various other unhealthy choices.

8. A favorite Pastime ?
We both enjoy going to the movies and to the beach together, though these are not necessarily our favorite pastimes. TanyaB enjoys making jewelry in her free time. Aaxmym enjoys classic car/hot rod related activities like going to car shows and restoring his hot rod.

9. Do the two of you share a favorite song?
No

No

11. A favorite TV.Show ?
We both like to watch Seinfeld reruns together.

12. A favorite Movie ?
There are several movies that we both enjoy and will watch over and over again together when they are on TV, though they are not necessarily our favorites: The Wedding Singer, Starsky & Hutch, Pretty Woman, Little Miss Sunshine, among others.

Individually we have different favorite movies. One of Aaxmym’s alltime favorite movies is American Graffiti. One of TanyaB’s alltime favorite movies is Grease.

About the poetry you both write :

1. When did both of you begin to write ?
Aaxmym: Started writing on AP in 2001.
TanyaB: Used to write angsty teen poems in her teens, like most teenagers. Mostly started writing in 2002 on AP.

2. What kind of poetry do the two of you write ?
TanyaB: All sorts, mainly humorous, spiritual, life snippets and some love poems
Aaxmym: Love, humor

3. Who are your influences?
Neither one of us really reads any poetry, so are not influenced by traditional poets. We are mostly influenced by our life experiences and what we observe around us.

4. What feeds your desire to continue writing poetry ?
This is a difficult question to answer due to the fact that neither one of us has written much lately. Writing poetry for us is a creative outlet and a way to express our thoughts and feelings when the mood strikes us.

General :

1. Do the two of you share favorite hobbies?
Please refer to answer in response to question on favorite pastimes.

2. Pets ?
We have no pets together. TanyaB used to have a brood of guinea pigs but they have all passed on to cavy heaven. Our neighbor does however have a rabbit that dug a hole under the fence separating our yards, so we have frequent visits from said bunny, which has become TanyaB’s surrogate pet.

3. Talents ?
We are both good at working with our hands. Aaxmym restores cars and car parts. TanyaB creates jewelry.

4. Jobs ?
Our jobs are very different so no we don’t share favorite jobs.

5. What advice would the two of you give to growing poets?
Go with your heart and don’t be discouraged when you can’t find the words – the words will find you.

Special Valentines Day Questions :

1. How do you divide up the household chores?
Good question. TanyaB takes care of laundry and cooking. Cleaning around the house is often shared – Aaxmym will vacuum and tidy up while TanyaB does the “wet” stuff like cleaning the kitchen and the bathrooms. We’ll both take out the garbage, just whoever thinks of it or gets to it first.

2. Do you believe that in doing everything together?
No. Of course it’s important to spend time together, a relationship is like exercise - you have to work your muscles to keep them strong and healthy. But you can’t work out 24/7; you do need to give your body time to recover.

Our course, we are both couch potatoes, so not sure how accurate that analogy is ;o)

3. Do you need time alone?
Yes of course, who doesn’t?

4. Do you have any children ?
Aaxmym has 2 children from his first marriage. We have no children together.

5. If no do you plan on having children?
No

6. Do you think faith and spirituality are important in a marriage?
Yes, to a certain extent, but not to the point where it rules your life.

7. What made the two of you decide to get married besides falling in love?
To catch a tax break – badaboom!! Actually we’re not married – yet! We have been engaged for a little over a year, and have been living together for the last 4 years. Despite the fact that we’ve both had failed marriages in the past, we believe in the sense of unity that comes with marriage. We are deeply in love with each other and are each other’s best friend, what better way to cement our bond?

5. What advice would the two of you give to couples on All Poetry ?
Well there’s the usual spiel about loving and respecting each other and being honest with each other and having good communication etc. And that is all very important of course. You also need to give each other some breathing space but don’t be so distant that you lose touch with each other. It’s ok to disagree on things, it’s ok to fight - but pick your battles, don’t argue over silly things. You don’t always have to “win”. And don’t use words as weapons, you can never take them back. Show kindness to each other every day, and don’t go to bed angry (cliché but true). Make time for each other.

Oh, one thing that brought us together was laughter; we crack each other up all the time! When you share a laugh with someone, it just brings you closer together. So laugh together. A lot.
