Congratulations, Laura! Even aside from the three finale challenges, looking at the top-notch consistency of your poetry throughout the Poet's Survivor challenge I know how hard you've worked for this. You are a wonderful poet, and very deserving of this.

I never expected to make it this far, so second place is an honor for me. I had a horrible case of writer's block when this final challenge was posted...thought seriously about dropping out at that point...but I'm so glad I was able to stick it out!

To Ryan...you are ruthless, hun! Over 100 poems? That's insane! lol Do you realize that's about half of the poems I have posted here on AP??? I can honestly say many of them wouldn't have been written without the challenges you provided, and I can't thank you enough for that and all the hard work you've put into this. s for you too.

A huge thank you to our other judges as well. The feedback I've been provided has made me a better poet, and persevering through this challenge even when I had zero cooperation from my muse has made me a better, stronger person. I hope none of you underestimate the the positive influence you have on other poets, both by your own work and the comments you leave.

One final thank-you to whomever cast the last vote. I had a feeling Laura and I might be tied at that point, otherwise I don't believe Ryan would have kept us in suspense this long. lol

Okay, that's it! My love and s to everyone who has supported me through this...I appreciate you all.

    ~J.

    Ok...I found my voice
Firstly, thank you to Ryan for holding this challenge and pushing me so hard to succeed, I put blood and sweat into some of those writes...mainly I put my whole heart into them.
Secondly, thank you to all of the judges who have been present in the challenge at some point or another...without you, I wouldnt be here...thank you all for having faith in trista and I.
Thirdly, thank you trista, just for being you and for sharing the amazing experience of that final with me...it's been a pleasure.
And lastly, but certainly not leastly...thank you to all the people who believed in me, it means more to me than the actual win.

    Thank you

Congrats to you Laura, It always amazes me the level of the talent that makes it in to the finals on these challenges. You would think that the winners would be readily apparent from early on in the contest, but you have had to pen your best to make it to the top. I'm glad this got judged in the end and the final pieces were nothing short of unbelievable. Take a bow Laura, congrats again and Trista should be happy with all she has taken away from this too. Second is really an amazing achievement in this contest and her pieces truly showed her talent as well. Both deserve much more in way of comments, but suffice to say that I look forward to next time and will follow this challenge closely in the future.
