How to Enter Contests

1. First find a contest you want to enter
2. Read the entire contest page for rules and what they are asking you to write about.
3. Then you will see information on the close date the trophy award amounts and a link to enter a pre-write and/or enter a new poem. Like this:

• This is an anonymous contest - your name will be hidden from editors
• Closes in 3 days
• Rewards - Gold: 500, Silver: 200, Bronze: 150, Honorable mention: 1 people
• Prewritten poems are not allowed.
• Enter a new poem

1. Click on either of these. If it is a contest that allows prewritten poems to be entered, you can click that link and a drop down list will appear listing all of your most recent poems there is also an option to show all, and/or search. When searching, showing all, you must click the go button otherwise nothing will happen. Once you have found/chosen the poem click enter contest. Choose the poem that fits the contest best and click submit.

1. If it is a contest that only wants new poems, click on that link and you will be directed to another page where you can submit a new poem that you write specifically for that contest and just follow the same directions you would if you were just adding a poem.
