I tried to entertain my kitten who was interested in the cursor on the screen,
so I googled ‘Cat’s Meowing’ and selected ‘videos’.
I envisioned a cat-in-your-face meowing on the screen,
to fascinate my little four-legged lump of fur.
Instead, I got the most pathetic videos-
and the cats were hardly even meowing! How aggravating!
“What a waste of space” I thought,
and they were rated 4 ½ stars! Pathetic!
U-Tube should charge for their services-
it would cut down on all this ridiculous crap!
My kitten, being of short attention span, walked away,
obviously sharing my dismal assessment of the videos.
Now, if you’re an archeologist or sociologist in the distant future,
these videos will have a value beyond their failed video classification,
such as showing how humans of today wasted away most of their conscious moments,
such as creating inane videos to post on U-Tube.
The background settings of the videos intrigued me more than the failed intent of the videos-
one was a boardwalk on an unpeopled beach;
in another the screen door was more interesting than the cat who wasn’t meowing much,
but as is they are pure lameosities.
My only hope is that the rating system will become more honest
and incorporated into searches, and that future search returns will improve.
Now you’re probably thinking that our writing here is just as lame,
so why should I criticize?
That is a good challenge, and I will accept it,
for being here can be just as much of a waste of conscious moments and digital storage space
as those lame videos
where the cats were hardly meowing, and my kitten walked away.
As for here, what would not be a waste of space and conscious moments writing here?
A written piece that has been labored over for days, weeks, months, years, a lifetime perhaps;
or pieces that are culminations of extreme experiences, talents, skills, or insights;
or pieces that are just plain ‘good’, even if only to their limited audience, and even if only for those ever-unexplainable reasons.
So what's it going to be here?

Right!
My kitten sat on the keyboard of my laptop to watch the blinking cursor...he also chases the light from a flashlight! They are the wildest things!
I agree with you. There are a lot of rejects from "America's Funniest" floating around on the web.

yes, when kittens no longer play with cat toys (and the toys only work on kittens!), they aren't kittens anymore...

lol tooo cute lol
Now this is what I would call a laser treatment for the brain lol
cats can be the cutest doing nothing,...I see you have him in the house now...I think the next thing to do is teach him how to type,your work may get done ...lol -
You can get a cat to do very stupid things with a lazer pointer...my cat freaks out...if you point it into a mirror she'll tackle her own reflection.
