I've seen this option in sTile. I like to try color noise, lighten, brighten, and gradient merge to tone things down. I like it, but would push it further. The solid apple green, though one of my favorite colors, stands out a bit too much.

I love the colours of this background, it seems your hooked on a hippy theme, flower power, very pretty
Just wondering if it needs to be a little paler though for the text to show up better, other than than that, it's fantastic
