I as a general standing was never fond of Form Poetry, so that is why some of you may find this odd for me to come up with, But it came to me last night in my sleep, I call it an Haikrostic Story. as you may well have already guessed, an Haikrostic Story is a mix of Haiku and Actostic. but an Haikrostic Story goes farther. my idea is to write a sentance containing all 3 letter words such as. "The Fly And The Sun Are One." and then from each word writing an Acrostic Haiku such as the one I wrote the other night entitled
Fly http://allpoetry.com/poem/3094722
One would of course explain or expound upon their sentance in the follow Haikrostic Story. In the example sentenve above I would explain why the fly and the sun are one.
The Fly And The Sun Are One: http://allpoetry.com/poem/3104536
The Ultimate Haikrostic Story of course would be where the sentance itself was a haiku, and then from that haiku you did every word in every line as an Haikrostic Poem, but thats going over the edge a bit, but maybe some day a great poet *from this site no doubt* will attempt and achieve such a great piece.
This was simply an idea I had that I had to share, and I hope you all give it a crack, and maybe the Haikrostic Story will be a popular form of poetry, and not just the ramblings of one crazy man.
Good Luck and God Bless
