Paper Pirates Teen Challenge ~ Round Four

Welcome

to
Paper Pirates Round Four

Welcome once again guys and gals!

You have reached round four (4)!

In this round we will work on your creativity. I want

to see you all really dig deep for this one. The

more creative and ingenious you are the

better you will score this round.

I warn you this round will require some research

on your part so I do hope you have your

shovels and pick axes at the ready.

Below you will find a list of famous

and legendary serial killers and

mask murders.

The first part of your task will be to choose one of them

and place your choice in the comment area below.

No one may choose one that has already been

chosen so pay close attention to who has

chosen whom.

One you have made your selection you are to research

whom you have chosen and then take what you have

found IE: their legend/story/life and pen a piece

using that information. You must use what you

have found and the person(s) as a metaphor.

When your write is complete it should be

able to be read as both a metaphor

as well as a straight forward piece

about whom you have chosen.

So in simple terms, your write should be able

to be read two ways; both metaphorically

and bluntly. If when reading I cannot

see how it can be read both ways

points will be deducted harshly.

Anyone that does not understand please feel

free to ask any questions you may have. I

will be happy to explain further .

Your choices:

Jack the Ripper ~ Chase

The Boston Strangler ~ Ryan

Albert Fish ~ Meg

Ed Gein

Ted Bundy ~ Esha

Jeff Dahmer ~ Christina

Hillside Strangler ~ Tyler

The Harps, Big and Little ~ Amy

There are eight listed and there are nine of you including Justin.
However, Justin will be given an alternate assignment

depending on the results of our conversation

when I am able to catch him, which I do

hope is sooner rather than later.

The rest of you may now choose one

name from the list but remember

you cannot choose one that

has already been

chosen by

another.

RULES:

backgrounds and fonts must be readable

line limit is no more than 40 lines

Your assignment will be due on

Sunday, June 24th

at 9PM EST

GOOD LUCK!

curses a big pile of out of his mouth

god damn it... another 15 minutes at work (it's finally calm) but I just realized I can't start judging yet since I'm not home this evening

remind me do to this tomorrow (if not too late? ) soooo sorry I'm letting you all down on this one. It's just so hectically busy at work with this stupid summer sale thing and at home there's quite something to do for the household (still not used to cleaning and ironing and stuff myself so I'm quite slow when it comes to doing it )

    Hillside Strangler please.

    Just making sure.
My poem is going to be straightforward about his life... At the same time it parrallels to something else?

I'm aiming for first this round. Hopefully I will get there.

I had a question that you might have overlooked.

"My poem is going to be straightforward about his life... At the same time it parrallels to something else?"

        Am I thinking this right?

          oops sorry Ty...

basically yes....I want the piece in the end to be capable of being read and taken as a straight forward piece about the person but also to those of us that love metaphors for it to be metaphoric to something else as well. This way no matter which type of reader viwews your piece both the straight forward and metaphorical can enjoy it on a level equivalent to their personal understanding and interpretations.
