Welcome to the first Paper Pirates
all teen challenge.
This column is to make you all aware of what
is expected of/from each of you.
First and foremost we the judges expect you
all to get along and play nicely, but seeing
this group is pretty familiar with one
another I do not foresee this being
an issue during this challenge.
Each round assignment will be due exactly one week
from the date issued, however, there may be an
occasional assignment where the due date
for submittal is changed to allow a
lesser time for completion so
be sure to keep a close
eye on deadlines.
I will be handing out one immunity pass. This pass I
do believe you are all aware of. You can use it to
save your hide should you face elimination.
However, if you should face elimination
due to failure of completing any one
assignment the pass is not
applicable.
Whomever is awarded the pass must say nothing. Should
word escape loose lips your ship will be sunk and
the pass revoked. All the judges will be aware
of whom has the pass, of course. Should
you choose to use the pass you will
have 24hrs to do so from the
time the announcement
is made of who will
face elimination.
If by chance, you will get sick, have computer problems
ect ect I ask that you contact me so as you are not
eliminated due to circumstances beyond your
control. I will do my best to work with you
and find an alternative solution.
Also, I would like to make you aware that there
will be minimum deduction made for failing
to comply with certain rules.
In every round I ask that you please keep all fonts and backgrounds
readable. I do not want to have to highlight an entry in order to
read it. Also, my eyes nor the eyes of the other judges need
be strained in the process. Failure to comply with this
rule will cost you a minimum of ten (10) points
taken off your score per judge's score.
Failing to comply with a line limit should one be
issued for an assignment will cost you, again,
ten(10) points per judge's score regardless
of how many lines you are over limit.
Keep in mind I will not be counting line
breaks or Roman Numerals as part
of the line count itself, should
one be issued.
If at any time you have a question(s)
I do encourage you to speak up.
We have 12 teens competing in this challenge and I will
be dividing you up into three teams. Each team will,
obviously contain four members. Each team
will be required to create a group for their
team and come up with a team name.
Each team will also be assigned
a team leader. Below you
will find the teams and
to which you are
assigned.
-Team 1-
Team leader:
american pi
lavender shadows
blackday
bad resolution
-Team 2-
Team leader:
Drunk on Starlight
Soccer-Freak-Tyler
Frodofan
Whispered Devotion
-Team 3-
Team leader:
NemsisOmega
Forever Ryan
onyxsoul
Diseased Mind
All scores will be added together then averaged
out into a team score. The team with the
lowest score will lose a member. The
two members of that team will
face eliminations. Who will
leave will be based on
a vote from the
judges.
I will also be adding twists throughout
this challenge at random intervals
so be prepared for anything.
I ask that you all leave a comment of acknowledgment
on this page so as I know all are aware of where
we stand thus far in this challenge and that
you are aware of your teammates in
which you will be working.

ok, got it. I know all in my team except the leader. this should be interesting and fun.
