Farrell Form

Learn how to write my new form!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~How to write in Farrell Form~~
Farrell form is a form using syllabic counts based on variables.
Each “stanza” or “section” of the poem is 4 lines long (it doesn’t matter how many sections you include.)
Line 1 – This must be one word. It can be any amount of syllables and anything. But, one word only.
Line 2 & 3 – The syllabic count in line two is two times the amount in line one (ex; 3 syllables in line one makes 6 syllables in line two.) Line two must consist of abstract imagery on the main topic and line three must be abstract.
Line 4 – Must be one less in syllabic count then line 2 and three (ex; 6 syllables in line 3 means 5 syllables in line 4.) Must be emphasized somehow.
~ALCOHOLIC~
eating glass and children,
meeting mannequins …
    Always new forms being created on this site - like this one cause it is short and to the point. Not very complicated to follow. Congrats on finding this form. Where does the name come from?
