Option Three – WORD BANK
Remember in the top ten round how we had a word bank, well this time the phrase bak happens to be…
multicolored
rich
superior
forlorn poetry
daylight
abstract
prompted screams
miles in herds
sweetly sour
disease
horrid percentages
concluded distress
nation
scurvy
dripping waterfalls
blunted blindness
irrational excuses
untold sorrow
tears
background laughter
intangible
cheerfulness
You must use all but one phrases, meaning if there is one phrase that never fits you can cut it. You are allowed to vary them [ex: abstract – abstracted]
Option Four – SONGS FROM OUR SOUL
Remember in the top nine challenge, how you had to listen to music and let it inspired your writing? Well this time it is a tad different, let these lyrics inspire your writing…
ALL THAT I AM by ROB THOMAS
I am the one winged bird for flying
Sinking quickly to the ground
See your faith in me subsiding
See you prime for giving in
I give you all that I am
I am the sound of love's arriving
Echoed softly on the sand
Lay your head upon my shoulder
Lay your hand within my hand
I give you all that I am
And I breathe where you breathe
Let me stand where you stand
With all that I am
I am the white dove for a soldier
Ever marching as to war
I would give my life to save you
I stand guarding at your door
I give you all that I am
I am the one winged bird for flying
Sinking quickly to the ground
I am the blind man for a watchdog
I am prime for giving in
I'll show you all that I am
And I breathe so you breathe
Let me stand so you'll stand
With all that I am
Option Five – A TWIST IN THE POEM
Remember in the torment round how you had to write a negative poem and twist it into a positive poem [or vise verse] well this time you have to ask questions at the first of your poem and answer the questions at the second half of your poem.
List your option in your author’s notes. Post the link to the poem in the comments box below. Good luck.
