How does it start? The need to write…the beginning…how does it all just pop out in someone’s head? Why do we do it?
I’ve wondered about it before, couldn’t come up with any good answer…but I guess it’s about the feeling…Freudian psychoanalyses states that the sexual tension in every individual has a chance to evolve into creation, it’s called sublimation…and when you’re in state where you cant satisfy the urge you just go into a higher level and start creating, turning all that energy into something else with the same basics but a different outcome…they say all art is born this way, and on the road to greatness it’s our frustrations that lead us…
Maybe, but what if it’s more than that? What if we, as humans, are meant to create? What if, eventually, we were heading towards perfection and the only way to achieve it is to transcend through art…
I have a friend, and she’s always wondering about the secrets of translating my thoughts and feelings in words…I have no idea how it happens…which reminds me this little part of a movie called “good will hunting”, at a point his girlfriend asks him how he does it and all he can come up with is metaphor…when it comes to Mozart and music it’s just him and the piano…he can just play…
So do I, I guess…when it comes to writing…I can just play…

and u r a great player indeed and i thnk sexual frustration has a bit to do with it but i guess sexualy deprived or not we r meant to create we r meant for greatness each in his or her own way, every feeling leads to something so we cant relate everything to sex and 4get the rest we are humans not just animals only minding our lust well dont know this is what i think so *shrug*.

We studied sublimation lately at school... It's a very interesting theory.

Desire..that'd be the key for Freud's theories, or do humans just have to find more excuses for sex? But I agree with blackangel, it could be one way or other, just as yin and yang would exist.

i think Freud definitely has a point in that theory in particular.. it's all about that sexual tension.. not only may it cause or lead to art, but also, on the other side, to very severe nervous n psychotic diseases lol ! ... but then again, every asrtist is a mad man! heh

well, i cant say much, and i can definatly not stereotype! but personaly i hold the theory of Freud! its all based on sexual tension!
well try it urself, when once ur all inspired for writin', go and hv sex or anythin close to it, ur whole inspiration will be gone, because u'll be sexually satisfied! not only sexualy, but u, urself, would be satisfied!!
if u go back to history, decates ago, and even nowawadays all the gr8 painters, musicians,ect. hv either a sexual disturbed life or anythin that is related to sex..
and yea, when it comes to writin', u can just play .. i so believe that decates later ur name will be state next to mozart's ..
