The polls have now been opened in some states, three hours now.  In others, less, depending on whether they opened at 07:00, or on the time zone.  In the Pacific Time zone, many poling stations have been open now for about a quarter of an hour, as I write.  I'm hoping that if you haven't already voted, assuming you're voting age, that you'll take the time to go vote, either in your lunch hour or by commuting early enough from work to get to the polling station.  Your vote DOES count, do not shrug this off!

I'm hoping that you will consider that the Republicans and other Conservatives have had more than enough time to prove their policies right, and they have failed.  It's time we gave the other side a chance, again.  And if you're disillusioned with the Democrats, as are no insignificant number, then vote your conscience, vote for the best party, even if they have little chance, as it seems with the Greens, the Libertarian, the Socialist, and the Communist Parties.  By registering and voting any significant number, you send the message to the more established parties that you aren't willing to surrender your ideals without at least coming to some sort of negotiation, where then we may more clearly decide what we're going to compromise. If you aren't voting age, at least make sure the registered voters in your family vote.

You’re welcome, Mr. Tarik. I’m not good at politics at all. I’m just hopeful there will be some good changes in your government.

Tune in to NPR for the latest

    Mudjekeran, Vernal.

By the way, results are coming in fast and furious. Our favourites are winning in many states across the nation. Our man, John Barrow, considered by many to be a champion of environmentalism and moderate liberalism, is leading 52% to Max Burn's 48% in Georgia's 12th Congressional District.

Elsewhere in Georgia, the Republicans are winning, except maybe for agricultural commissioner. Governor Sonny Purdue has won. Oh, well, he's not a bad man. Georgia Democrats will have to convince their electorate that the Democrats are not still the same Conservative Democrats.

Again, thank you Vernal, you are very kind.

Bravo, Mr. Tarik. What an informative piece you have written. No wonder you are in my favorite list.. I mean you’re great enough to be.
I agree. As you said our vote does count. Here we will have a selection in about next month as Khobregaan.
Thanks for sharing and I hope more people change their decision for current selection :-)
