I made this one today from a photo I found on deviant art. View it here: www.deviantart.com/deviation/42398670/

I only take credit for making the background. The original, beautiful picture was taken by Robert Mekis. Props to Him.

Ea, as I specifically state in my author's comments, I only take credit for making this into a background. I have given him most of the credit in my author's notes, linking to where he posted the picture originally on Deviantart, and saying how he took the picture. I think I give enough credit to use this on the site. I never use other's photos without giving credit to them and I wouldn't start now. I hope you understand.

I don't understand why you haven't named your background "Robert Mekis" or something that credits him. He himself calls it "First Cold Day." This isn't even a photo that is licensed under creative commons from what I can see. He has this print for sale. Maybe he's a friend of yours or something and you have a private agreement to use the photo as wallpaper? But I still can't comprehend how it should be credited to you and not to him. Sorry, but as a photographer and artist myself, this is something that really bothers me about this site in general, as I think you know. Sometimes, it isn't possible to know who the artist was, I understand, or they have licensed it under "Creative Commons", (which has varying degrees of how you are able to use it, by the way - everything from non-commercial to non-derivative to just attributing it to them.)

I was going to ask you if this was from a vantage point in Colorado Springs. It is truly beautiful. I do miss that city! Hugs, Patricia
