    Each to their own Hulali.
Meanwhile I'll look up that reference to 2 flies and make sure it's available.

Ah, Bukowski, what to say? Getting drunk in his honor is just so last year, I guess I'll have to pull Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percussion Instrument Until the Fingers Begin to Bleed a Bit off the shelf and read it cover to cover. I haven't checked out everything on OP, so I dont' know if it's there, but "2 Flies are angry bits of life" is one of my favorites and hereby recommended to anyone checking out the Buk.

As for the comment "he had no class. And his style of poetry, was barely even that. I cannot say that I will be a huge celebrater[sic] of his birthday, but I can tell you it is a relief that he's dead." - It is ironically exactly the kind of brashnesss Bukowski would appreciate. I'm sure he's thrilled you hate him.

The new documentory about him is awesome. He is one of my favorite writers of all time. He confronted honesty and I love that he's from California =)

    screams, "No freakin' way!"

    Happy Birthday, Charles.

He is still around, stuffed in my living room pointing disapprovingly. I am going to make him a cake.

Auron's comment is a bit off the wall, how a dead man can evoke such venum. People either love him or hate him but to state that it is a relief that he is dead is a bit wacky.

I myself (and my one true love) will be raising a snifter of brandy in his honor.

Thanks for reminding folks here that he has an impressive collection at OP. Some of which I posted, all of which I edited.

Yeah. That's true. I am after the vicious, cold-hearted, right wing extreme on AP. Come to expect darling. It's my reputation.
And also there is a difference between not enjoying a poet's work and being absolutely disgusted by it.

    Touching!

I think this was very touching. I don't know them but I am off to read some of his works.
Thank you very much for sharing.

What a nasty remark. I certainly do not have to enjoy the works of many writers or poets but being grateful when they die is plain cold hearted.

My roomate is obsessed with Bukowski and frankly I cannot stand him. The man was disgusting, he had no class. And his style of poetry, was barely even that. I cannot say that I will be a huge celebrater of his birthday, but I can tell you it is a relief that he's dead.
