Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
The Kingdom of God is neither about meat nor drink but about the Spirit. It does not come in a physical appearance.
1. Some people are concerned about customs and traditions of men
2. It is about Jesus
3. It is all in the Spirit
4. If we keep our mind on things of the flesh you will die.
Two Kingdoms:
Kingdom of God
1. A kingdom of love - Colossians 1:13
2. Does not seek it's own - 1 Corinthians 13:5
Kingdom of Man
1. Self seeking - 1 Corinthians 13:5
2. Build thing for its own lust and desires - James 4:1-4
3. Makes everyone their servant - Matthew 20:25-28
4. The Kingdom of Man looks a lot like Satan - Isaiah 14:12-13
Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
John 18:36 Jesus answered, My Kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, 'the Kingdom of God is within you.'
1. The kingdom of God is not an external thing but an internal.
2. You cannot even see it coming unless you are born from above.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
This is why unbelievers think you are crazy. They cannot see what we see. It has been granted by the Father for His children to see.
Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Mark 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
With John the Baptist, came the beginning of a new age; the Kingdom Age.
This new age has been building since John the Baptist according to the word of the Lord in Daniel's prophecy. The stone cut from the mountains without hands is now filling the earth. A new kingdom took up residence and is ever increasing.
We are now in the Kingdom of God.
