genius...madness...
what's the difference ? what defines the thin line that separates both sides of the same greatness...
it's said that a madman has lost everything but reason,it's also said that a genius is just a crazy person focused on a single purpose,always,always...
i've witnessed ingenuity today...but it was corrupt but schizophrenia thus becoming madness and therefore seen as wrong and condemned by the normalising society...or was it madness taken to a higher level by creative thinking and sublimation...
it doesn't matter i guess...either ways...nowadays every body's measured by achievements and judged by what's agreed to be normal standards...these standards are put by ppl who are afraid of difference, they fear the weird while forgetting that there is no weird unless a group of individuals with the same aspects agree on certain criteria...
i say it's time to shake down a little,it's time to celebrate differences and focus the spotlight on what makes each individual well,AN INDIVIDUAL,not a sheep part of a bigger flock...
so in a way i guess i'm just trying to celebrate freedom of thought, speech, fashion, culture and everything that makes you specific !

I love this piece, it is a poignant flashback to society. Genius and madness seem no different, for geniuses may indulge heavily on something, and madmen, may only be mad because they explore a subject that is controversial or taboo. Sometimes, geniuses are crazy as well, e.g. John Nash.
I look forward to seeing your 'pieces' column, this is absolutely wonderful. -
Interesting and deep column

Keep writing this was very deep and true

"nowadays every body's measured by achievements and judged by what's agreed to be normal standards...these standards are put by ppl who are afraid of difference"
You couldn't be more right, it is a shame to see that the world is just controled by a bunch of rules that "someone" has laid, and this " someone" is in no place to judge for he is only human and therefor he has flaws.
"it's time to celebrate differences and focus the spotlight on what makes each individual well,AN INDIVIDUAL,not a sheep part of a bigger flock..."
Amen to that!
I think you should be our new president!
I hope that there comes a day where everyone feels that way and is to be high spirited, strong opinated and most importantly open minded to understand and process and accecpt those who are different from one's self.
Great Job Serge!
Loved everyline, it is eye opening to the least.
