Lessons I have learned this year:
1. Everyone makes mistakes. (Okay, I already knew that, but it was reinforced) It is just human nature. Some of us learn from them, some of do not. (That was fairly pointed at three or so individuals. Not by any means the vast majority of anyone taking even a peek at my work.)
2. Not everyone forgives. It is painfully obvious. On the other hand (I have five fingers), I have moved past it, even if they have not. Is it not stupid the little, bitty, teeny, tiny, minsculish, microscoptic, atomic differences that can create chasms? And bridges, forget them! Some people would rather stand in the middle and cut both ends around them, thinking they can intellectually levitate. Good luck there, dude.
3. I am an island. Oh, I do not want to be, but...there it is. Life swirls around me in eddies and washes over me like so much sludge. How I stay so squeaky clean is beyond me.
4. I am loved. Maybe only by God, but, by God I am loved. Okay, the SO has deep abiding feelings, but can he not possibly remember that I have pierced ears, so earrings are always a safe bet for birthdays, Valentine's, anniversaries, Christmas? No, I get: "I didn't know what you wanted." NIMROD, I wanted you to remember! That is what I want.
5. Okay, I am emotional. Not a flaw, but a fact of life. Are all women that way, or are a few of us just gifted?

Just some personal observations on my world. PS. I did get the earrings and necklace for Christmas. He still has the capacity to surprise me.
