Good ideas Somethings I'd address, though:
(1) Why do good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good? is that a case of free will? And, does human free will cause natural disasters etc or just human wickedness eg Hitler?
2 Why does there need to be a Hell? In fact, there is little (I am also agnostic, but since this is a discussion of the Christian God) Biblical evidence for Hell. Wouldn't it be better if God created no Hell and no chance for evil?
3 Does freewill necessarilly have to mean complete freedom? I don't personally believe we do have total freedom- eg the ability to live forever or fly unaided if we so choose- so why do we have the option to kill one another?
Keep writing This was a wonderful column, I just like hearing ur thoughts- they're very good Sry if this sounded critical- I just want to know your responses

This is a critique written to me by my best freind 'POZO'
And in this Article i will answer her questions on my philosophical view.
1)Bad things happen to good people out of either sheer coincidence (if you do not beleive in god). Or for some reason that i am not educated enough to answer god is working around freewill. Has anyone ever seen BRUCE ALMIGHTY. In it Mrogan Freeman 'god' says freewill is untouchable.
It is a longshot but god might have created the world and given every race freewill to live and do as they please. But he enacted freewill so even he would not be able to force events to happen. He instead lets human nature take its course whatever that maybe. Such as a bully who decides to pick on a child. It is his choice to and even though we may not like it it is his choice only. Through natural events his life will play out good or bad. God merely tries to change it for the better by giving humans the choice in the way there life turns out. If they decide to ignore it that is their choice.
If good or bad things happen to people it is just how the world plays out and it is not gods choice it is your own that makes a person turn out the way they are.
Im not sure of any other way to explain that if anyone does by all means tell me.
About the natural disasters. Such things as volcanoes, earthqaukes etc.
These are gods way of shaping our choices and as always giving us the oppurtunity to change. A volcanoe could kill hundreds of people. I know it is a tragedy and people die but it was a natural occurence of the planet.
God did not intend for this planet to be perfect. He intended for it to be wrong and flawed. It is a test to see if humanity can return to his side if it overcomes adversity.

thumbs up
Great principles, although it's my personal belief that a (for lack of a better word) sinner *chooses* to go.. South.. and God has little to do with that particular choice. He loves anyone, even when they do not love him back, which is why (I suppose) he gave us free will as well. Love from a puppet is not the same as love from a pet.
Oh, & if memory serves, Hell is simply where Lucifer (the fallen Angel) set up camp, along with all his followers.
Keep writing. this is an area I'm interested in, & it isn't often that I get the opinions of a person not believing the same thing as I. -
Good response
If so, it kind of contradicts the Bible though- God seeing the world as good and not seeing any bad, yet being all knowing. Keep writing, your responses are really interesting

To the first question, things we perceive as bad things may not be as bad as we first perceive. All things that happen shape our character and can ultimately test us to be better people.
Second, no chance for evil makes all things good. We should not be forced into this nature, we must choose it and thus choose our paths to the next world.
Third, we're are given these options mainly for the same reasons I suggested in the second part. I believe God loves us all but he also wants to test our faith at the same time.
Not to drag this out, this is simply a flat line for what I think on this. I agree with your response. Take care and God bless.
