Once upon the time
There was a poet
A poet in a small country
He loved children
He writes beautiful poems
He traveled worldwide
The poet even was the first Dane to take a train
He wrote many books
Children read lots of his stories
We are celebrating his 200th year
That man will always be remembered
And his stories are loved by many people
His name is Hans Christian Andersen

Hans Christian Andersen was one of the most known poets in the world, and he is a Dane from the city of Odense. Think of the farry tail "The Little Mermaid" or other farry tails. He is now 200 years old. He was born in 1805.
